So, who is Jules?

Hi, I’m Julia, はじめまして!
I’m in my late twenties, from Austria and somewhere between everyday life and the quite streets of Japan.

What started as a single trip turned into something much bigger. Since my first journey to Japan, I haven’t quite been able to let go of it. The atmosphere,
the small details, the way everyday moments feel somehow different and special – it stayed with me.

Over time, that curiosity turned into real enthusiasm.
I started learning Japanese about a year ago, wanting to understand the culture more deeply and experience it beyond the surface.

There’s something about Japan that’s hard to put into words.
It’s not just the places – it’s the feeling.
The calm in the middle of busy cities, the attention to detail, the mix of tradition and modern life.
Japan made me slow down, notice more, travel and appreciate life differently.
And that’s something I want to hold on to and share.

This blog is my space to collect and share everything I learn along the way.
You’ll find:

honest travel tips
personal experiences
and small moments that don’t make it into typical travel guides

More than anything, this blog is about connection.
I’d love to share my enthusiasm with you – and maybe even inspire you to experience Japan in your own way.
And if you have tips, thoughts, or your own experiences, I’m always happy to hear from you.

See you along the way,
Julia 🌸
